A dismal display from the Western Force who took on the Highlanders in a very cold night at nib Stadium in Perth. While the home side were competitive for about half of the first half, they were just blown away from the New Zealanders which proved to be painful watching. The game ended up being a 6 to 55 point thrashing, where the first time in my sport-viewing life had to leave the game deep into the second half as it was just too painful for me to watch.
I have attended games since day one, to have such an inept display really hurt and with the looming axing of the Force from the competition for next season it really showed that the heart wasn't there tonight.
One highlight though was the chai latte I bought, it was 4 dollars and was delicious and really hit the spot on such a cold night. Didn't purchase any food or drinks as you are well aware, they are very expensive with little return.

Knights Put Azzurri to the Sword in Cup Upset
What was a chilly and wet day at Nash Field in Mosman Park, was a day that would be remembered by the Western Knights for many years to come. The shock 3-1 win over highly fancied Perth SC was a fantastic result as the hosts dominated the match from start to finish. Perth just couldn't settle and find any rhythm or momentum. There was a bit of a late Perth charge deep in the second half but the Knights defence held firm. The only blight on the brilliant performance of the knights was the penalty that drew the match level.
Food is what draws people into Nash Field as their chevup burgers and cup of chevups are just delicious. My mouth waters any time I think about them. Hot chips were in order also as it was a chilly day with a few light showers. Beers and cool drinks were in order also with Karlovackos going down a treat at 7 dollars. Cups of chevups were 6 and so were the burgers. You really do need to get down to Western Knights to sink your teeth into these wonders. Chevups also go down well with ava sauce, always recommended.

Azzurri Too Strong at Cockburn
Cockburn City played host to Perth SC on what was a fabulous warm, sunny and cloudless May Saturday afternoon at Dalmatinac Park. There was a rather healthy crowd to watch this National Premier Leagues WA game but unfortunately the result was not to go the home sides way. Despite the result Cockburn City were huffing and puffing and just could not blow the Perth SC house down with many chances going begging. The unrelenting pressure they were applying onto the Perth defence was immense but, in true Perth SC style only needed to counter and take one bite at the cherry to slot the ball in the back of the net.
The game was 2-0 in favour of the visitors at the break but really there should have been more on the board, especially next to the home side. The match resumed and was effectively the same style of play, however Perth were not going to succumb to Cockburn and in the 57th minute took yet another chance to further extend their lead to three. A Cockburn goal finally arrived in the 84th minute but it just wasn't enough as they were trying to score a second in what was a rather energetic last 8 minutes to the match. The match finished 3-1 in favour of Perth SC.
The food at Dalmatinac is always a good standard and would encourage any football fan or local in the area to head down to Dalmatinac to sink your teeth into some delicious Cockburn burgers. The canteen staff put on a good show and for 6 dollars was delicious from start to finish. Thought cucumber was a nice touch to add a different dimension to a sporting favourite. Drinks at Dalmatinac are of good value, better than any pub so get down to the club and have beers on the 5 mark which was a Carlton draught and premixed spirits were 8 dollars. The chips were fantastic and were hot and crunchy to boot at 4 dollars id get on that while watching some good football. As always thank you Cockburn for the hospitality and shame the game didn't go your way.
